Late Shri Amarnath Aggarwal was a great personality of the society. Born on June 24th, 1933 in village Gehale, Bhatinda this visionary started giving shape to his dreams at the young age of 16 years. He was diligent and persevering and his hard work soon borne fruit in the shape of a construction company, Amarnath Aggarwal Construction Pvt. Ltd was 1955.
Under his guidance Amarnath Aggarwal Construction Pvt. Ltd went from strength to strength and soon became the trusted name in construction business. Between 1970 and 1984 he built many landmarks including Guru Gobind Singh Thermal Plant and National Fertilisers, Panipat.
In 1995, he along with his son, Er. Kulbhushan Goel laid the foundation of Amravati Enclave – a residential society with sate of the art architecture and facilities. He knew that good living is not limited to acomfortable house and therefore ensured that Amaravati complex had all the facilities that make up an Indian family’s
routine. This included parks, school, a poly clinic and a temple. Today around 1000 families are enjoying the dream of this great man.
During his stay in Bhatinda, he and his wife, late Smt. Deviwati involved themselves in a lot of social causes. In 1984, when the militancy was at its peak in Punjab, Lala Amarnath moved to Panchkula, Haryana. Apart from building a strong foothold in the city, he continued his efforts towards social causes . He made a big temple in Sector 6, Aggarwal Bhavan in Sector 5, a school in Sector 15 and a diagonostic center in Sector Manimajra, Panchkula. This well-wisher of the masses won many hearts through his service to the public.
A man with a great vision, a benevolent heart and a dextrous attitude, Lala Amarnath was a pious soul who believed in giving to the society rather than taking from it.
Today, Amarnath Agarwal Group of Companies is running on the same principles, which were made by Lala Amarnath Aggarwal.
